serial #4316b, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright about excellent bore showing strong rifling and only minor frosting along its length. The metal surfaces retain about 90-92% original blue, the loss due to fading and minor pinprick pitting on the straps and the lower part of the frame on both sides above the grips. Also, muzzle and contact point wear is present. The straw parts have faded somewhat and show some light oxidation staining, the right side parts showing a stronger temper. There is a nice fire temper blue remaining on the sear spring, magazine release spring and breech block pin. The toggle is marked with the "S/42" assembly code, the chamber is G-dated and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the grooved firing pin. The checkered walnut grips rate very good with minor flattening of the points, the right side grip showing the most wear and is loose fitting as well; they are stamp-numbered to the gun on their interior. Included is a single blue-bodied aluminum-based magazine numbered "9888q" and "+" marked and the body is stamped "fxo" with an "SE-37" acceptance stamp which rates excellent. Overall an excellent example of a secret G-dated P.08. (218050-728) {C&R} (2000/2500) SOLD FOR $1,840.00
