serial #92164, 50-100-450. 24" round barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a lovely rifle which remains in all original condition and is equipped with factory sling studs. The rifle is otherwise in standard configuration and the barrel and magazine retain 97% plus original blue finish overall. The action retains about 90% original color case-hardened finish which has faded slightly but has a very nice appearance with the belly showing most of the wear and has taken on a pleasing silver gray color. The bolt retains about 98% original blue finish. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate about excellent with 90% original finish remaining and with just light handling marks. The crescent buttplate retains about 65% original faded color case-hardened finish with the balance bearing a pleasing gray patina and the colors on the hammer and lever remain strong. The rifle is sighted with a beaded blade front with single standing and two folding leaf express rear. The rifle comes with a Cody record sheet which reads as follows: serial number applied on September 26, 1894, rifle, caliber 50/100/450, round barrel, 24 inches, plain trigger, sling swivel, received in the warehouse on May 6, 1899 and shipped on May 8th of the same year. A very fine and completely honest big bore 1886 rifle that shows little use. Investment quality. (18087-117) {ANTIQUE} [Kenneth Fry Collection] (10,000/15,000) SOLD FOR $20,700.00
