633. Winchester Model 1894 Special Order Rifle

serial #875180, 32-40, 26" half round half octagon barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is an interesting rifle with a full length magazine not commonly found on special order half round half octagon barrels. The barrel retains about 85% original blue finish toning to gray-brown with light silvering on the edges and muzzle. The magazine tube is retaining a darker brown patina with generous amounts of original blue along the protective edges of the barrel and hanging band. The action retains a pleasing pewter patina with lighter gray along the edges and traces of original blue along the protected rear edges, the lever and bolt have toned to a smooth brown patina. The plain walnut stock and forend rate very good plus retaining about 95% original finish with a handful of light handling marks. The crescent steel buttplate has a smoky gray patina with scattered light oxidation staining. Rifle is sighted with a King gold bead front sight and buckhorn sporting rear sight.
