634. Winchester Model 1894 Special Order Takedown Rifle

serial #686293, 32-40, 26" part round part octagon barrel with half magazine and a bright near excellent bore having some very light oxidation at the muzzle. This is a nice looking rifle whose special features include the part octagon barrel, takedown and half magazine. The barrel and magazine retain 93-95% original blue, loss due to light edge and rub wear, a couple light nicks and specks of fine oxidation and light takedown wear. The action bears an overall brown patina toning to gray along the edges retaining perhaps 20% original blue on the bolt, hammer and lower tang. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent having attractive figured grain retaining 95% original gloss finish with only light handling marks. The crescent steel buttplate retains an overall brown patina with light silvering along the edges and some fine oxidation staining, the takedown iron retains a bright silver patina with traces of brown. The rifle is sighted with standard sporting sights. Manufactured in 1913, a great looking special order takedown 1894 rifle. (58087-89) {C&R} [Kenneth Fry Collection] (1500/2500) SOLD FOR $1,840.00
