serial #90262, .52 Cal, 22" barrel with a very good bore that shows light and moderate pitting throughout but strong rifling. The barrel shows an older reapplied blue that has faded to a brown patina with a few light pits, a few small band removal marks, scattered freckling and oxidation staining throughout. The frame and hammer area retain 60% reapplied blue with some blued-over pits on the lower tang with freckling throughout and some scattered oxidation staining. The band retains about 90% reapplied blue with some oxidation and the buttplate has turned a dull brown patina showing scattered traces of case colors and some oxidation staining. The walnut stock rates very good as-cleaned with a small chip to the left of the rear of receiver, a few stains on butt, scattered dings, handling marks and scratches. The barrel is matching with an "X" prefix and the lever operates a bit stiffly. A good Sharps for the fledgling antique arms collector. (208009-2) {ANTIQUE} (1000/1500) SOLD FOR $1,265.00
