serial #6098u, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright near excellent bore with strong rifling and showing only minor frosting along its length. The metal surfaces retain about 95-98% of a hastily applied re-blue that may or may not be arsenal applied, the loss due to muzzle, high edge and contact point wear with the sideplate showing the most wear. The toggle is marked with the "S/42" assembly code, the chamber is dated 1937 and all of the visible numbered parts are matching with the exception of the grooved firing pin which is numbered "58". The checkered walnut grips rate very good with minor flattening of the points with both grips worn smooth at the bottom front and they are stamp-numbered to the gun on their interior. Included is a single blue-bodied aluminum-based magazine numbered "8395o" and is stamped with two "SE-37" acceptance stamps and the number "122" which rates excellent. Overall a nice 1937 produced Luger. (218050-735) {C&R} (1000/1400) SOLD FOR $1,092.50
