serial #8528g, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright about excellent bore with strong rifling showing some frosting along its length. The metal surfaces retain about 95-97% original blue, the loss due to muzzle wear and contact point wear, the sideplate and rear toggle link showing the most wear. The straw parts still retain a nice straw temper with minor fading, pinprick pitting and light oxidation staining, the takedown lever exhibiting the most. The toggle is marked DWM, the chamber is dated 1918 and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the un-grooved firing pin. The checkered walnut grips rate excellent with a lightly applied coat of varnish and they are un-numbered. Included is a single bright-bodied wood-based magazine numbered "6013a" and a "+" and rates excellent. Overall an excellent example of a Great War era P.08 pistol.
