serial #8832h, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright about excellent bore with strong rifling and showing some frosting along its length and some minor pinprick pitting near the throat. The metal surfaces retain about 92-95% original blue, the loss due to muzzle and contact point wear with some minor pinprick pitting on the rear of the frame. The straw parts retain a strong straw temper and the magazine release spring, sear spring and breech block pin show a nice pale fire temper blue. The toggle is marked DWM, the chamber is dated 1918 and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the un-grooved firing pin. The checkered walnut grips rate very good with only minor flattening of the points, the right side grip is loose fitting and they are stamp-numbered on their interior. Included is a single bright-bodied wood-based magazine numbered "6521" and rates excellent. Overall a nice example of a Great War era P.08 pistol. (218050-37) {C&R} (1200/1600) SOLD FOR $1,150.00
