656. German P.08 Luger Pistol by DWM

serial #1489b, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright about excellent bore with minor frosting along its length. The metal surfaces retain about 90-92% original blue, the loss due to fading and minor pinprick pitting on the straps and muzzle and contact point wear. All of the straw parts have been refreshed. The toggle is marked DWM, the chamber is dated 1915 and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the un-grooved firing pin. The breech block is numbered to the gun but has an Erfurt proof stamp on the left side. The checkered walnut grips rate about very good with minor flattening of the points, the left grip with a few chips here and there and the right grip overall worn smoother and they are both stamp-numbered to the gun on their interior. Included is a single bright-bodied wood-based magazine that is un-numbered and rates about very good with some minor oxidation staining. Overall a nice Great War era P.08 pistol. (218050-155) {C&R} (1200/1600) SOLD FOR $1,092.50
