serial #1204561, 30-06, 24 Springfield Armory National Match barrel dated "9 56" with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain about 95-97% of an arsenal parkerized finish that is lightly thinning along the edges and some light wear and other assorted marks throughout. The walnut stocks rate excellent and have a few light dings and scratches. The buttstock has been glass bedded around the receiver and bears a crisp federal ordnance cartouche on the left side and firing proof on the pistolgrip. This classic rifle has been assembled using mostly Springfield parts but has a National Match operating rod by Remington and is equipped with Nation Match sights, both front and rear. Included are a tan leather sling and a chamber brush which is stored in the butt. An excellent 1942 vintage military rifle that has been spruced up to make an excellent match grade shooter.
